Situation: Personal Trainer
- Word to create description sheets for exercises incorporating graphics of how to do the exercise. Use to create personalized plans for clients.
- Excel to track progress of clients on their program, time spent exercising and calculate body mass index and weight and inches lost.
- Access to keep a list of current and past clients names, addresses, email addresses, gym memberships, physical characteristics, training notes, before and after photos.
- PowerPoint to create a presentation for potential clients describing the program and its benefits.
2. (4 points) Describe how you would use the same four application programs as in #1 with an original idea of your own.
3. (2 points) Name two additional types of application software and what you would use each one for.

The Microsoft Office Suite is the most commonly used software for word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database. There are less expensive alternatives. Search the web or go to http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/6-free-office-suites-that-are-not-microsoft/ and look at the list of free office suites. You will choose one and create a flyer about it. Use the techniques from Word Chapter 1 in the Office 2007 textbook.
The flyer should fit on one page and include the following elements. They can be in any order on the page.
1. Descriptive Title
Heading 1 Style
Centered
Font changed from default
Enlarged font size
2. Short paragraph describing the office software typed with word wrap. Name the organization that distributes the software and give the URL for downloading it.
3. Bulleted list of product information.
4. Bold, underline or italicize a word or phrase in the list or in the description.
5. Signature line
Your name and email address as the contact person.
Heading 2 Style
Centered
Slightly larger font than the description and list
6. Graphic related to the topic
Positioned and sized to make best use of the space on the flyer page
Apply picture border formatting. If you are using Word 2003, create a custom border for the picture.
7. Change the color scheme from the default. If you are using Word 2003, change the font color of the title and signature line.
8. Page border
9. Spell and grammar check your flyer.
Save your flyer as HW3-Part2 and attach it to an email to me.
